About
Tottenham Hotspur, better known as the Spurs, was founded in 1882. The Spurs play their home games at the famous White Hart Lane stadium in London, with their kit being white and blue.
Spurs are reckoned as a sleeping giant in England; in the 60/61 season, Tottenham Hotspur were the first team in the 20th century to win the double. Although being one of the richer clubs in the world, especially in England, the team failed to win a league title in almost 50 years. This largely being a result of the uprising of their London neighbours Arsenal and Chelsea. With 2 league titles, 8 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 1 Europa Cup II and 2 Uefa Cups their trophy cabinet still is well filled.
Spurs and PSV have had player-links in the past and present. Former PSV-players Young Pyo Lee and Gica Popescu played for spurs in the past and former popular goalie Heurelho da Silva Gomes is now part of the spurs squad.
