De tweede wedstrijd in poule A tussen PSV en RB Leipzig eindigde in een overtuigende overwinning voor de Eindhovenaren. PSV won met maar liefst 5-0 en plaatste zich daarmee voor de halve finale van de Otten Innovation Cup.

Het begin van de wedstrijd ging op en neer, zonder grote uitgespeelde kansen. In de vierde minuut kreeg PSV echter de eerste echte mogelijkheid, die direct werd benut. Fabio Kluit kwam aan de rechterkant op en legde de bal laag voor in de zestien. Gino Verhulst stond bij de tweede paal klaar om de bal beheerst binnen te schuiven: 1-0.

Nog geen twee minuten later was het opnieuw raak. Wederom was Fabio Kluit de aangever, dit keer met een voorzet vanaf de flank. Sami Bouhoudane kopte de bal knap binnen en verdubbelde de voorsprong.

Na deze bliksemstart nam PSV de controle volledig over. RB Leipzig kwam nog tot een kopbal en een afstandsschot, maar echt gevaarlijk werden de Duitsers niet. Kort voor rust maakte Austen Jones zijn derde doelpunt van het toernooi, waardoor PSV met een comfortabele 3-0 voorsprong de kleedkamer inging.

PSV begon de tweede helft opnieuw sterk. Bouhoudane raakte de paal en Rens Boon schoot net over. De druk bleef aanhouden en Leipzig had geen antwoord. Een vrije trap van Bouhoudane stuitte nog op de muur, maar PSV bleef jagen op meer. Yiandrop Raap probeerde het met een fraaie volley van achttien meter, maar Leipzig-doelman Elian Hähner redde knap.

Na een reeks gemiste kansen viel uiteindelijk de 4-0. Essien Bassey zette vanaf de middellijn een aanval op en stuurde Gino Verhulst weg, die beheerst afrondde bij de tweede paal.

In de 34e minuut mocht RB Leipzig nog een vrije trap nemen, maar ook die belandde in de muur. PSV schakelde razendsnel om en trok met zes man ten aanval. Bouhoudane rondde de counter koelbloedig af en bepaalde de eindstand op 5-0.

Met deze overtuigende zege plaatst PSV zich voor de halve finale van de Otten Innovation Cup.

The second match in Group A between PSV and RB Leipzig ended in a convincing win for the Eindhoven side. PSV triumphed 5-0, securing their place in the semi-finals of the Otten Innovation Cup.

The opening minutes were balanced, with neither side creating clear chances. In the fourth minute, however, PSV struck first. Fabio Kluit advanced down the right flank and delivered a low cross into the box. Gino Verhulst was ready at the far post to calmly slot the ball home: 1-0.

Less than two minutes later, PSV doubled their lead. Once again, Kluit provided the assist, whipping in a cross that Sami Bouhoudane headed in brilliantly to make it 2-0.

From that moment on, PSV took full control of the match. RB Leipzig created a half-chance with a header and a long-range effort, but they posed little real threat. Just before half-time, Austen Jones scored his third goal of the tournament, giving PSV a comfortable 3-0 lead at the break.

PSV came out attacking in the second half. Bouhoudane hit the post and Rens Boon fired just over the bar. The pressure kept mounting, and Leipzig struggled to cope. Bouhoudane had another chance from a free kick just outside the box, but his shot was blocked by the wall. Yiandrop Raap then tried his luck with a spectacular volley from 18 meters, forcing Leipzig goalkeeper Elian Hähner into a fine save.

After a series of missed opportunities, PSV finally made it 4-0. Essien Bassey carried the ball from midfield and found Verhulst, who finished clinically at the far post.

In the 34th minute, Leipzig earned another free kick, but it was blocked by the PSV wall. PSV immediately launched a counter-attack with six players surging forward. Bouhoudane completed the move with his second goal of the match, sealing the 5-0 victory.

With this emphatic win, PSV booked their place in the semi-finals of the Otten Innovation Cup.
