Het is Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC dat de wedstrijd met veel enthousiasme start en dat betaalt zich voor rust ook uit in drie doelpunten. Due to both Chelsea FC and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC losing their matches this morning, the two teams faced off at 1:00 PM on Field 1 to determine seventh and eighth place.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC started the match with great energy, and their enthusiasm paid off before halftime with three goals. Jaejun Lee opened the scoring with a well-placed shot to give Jeonbuk a 1–0 lead. After a well-delivered cross from the right flank, Yegeon Kim was able to tap the ball in to make it 2–0. In the 17th minute, Jaejun Lee struck again, netting his second goal to extend the lead to 3–0.

Just before the break, Chelsea FC managed to pull one back. Dante Waite made it 3–1 with an acrobatic bicycle kick. After halftime, the momentum shifted, and the English side grew increasingly dangerous. Their efforts were rewarded with two goals: first, Jeremiah Berkeley-Agyepong narrowed the gap to 3–2, and then Kobe Barbour scored the equalizer.

In the final minutes of regular time, both teams created chances but couldn’t find the net again. That meant penalties would decide the outcome—and it was Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC who held their nerve. The South Koreans secured seventh place in the tournament, while Chelsea FC finished in eighth.
