The Otten Cup makes its comeback
After a year’s absence, the Otten Cup makes its comeback. Eight renowned clubs take part in the competition which takes place at the completely renovated PSV Campus de Herdgang.
Everton FC have been drawn with Red Bull Brasil, FC Internazionale and RSC Anderlecht in Group A. A clash between different national football cultures will undoubtedly result to some thrilling games of football. Everton, whose Director of Football is Marcel Brands, will lock horns today with Red Bull Brasil, while the 2017 Otten Cup winners Internazionale will face RSC Anderlecht.
PSV have been drawn with Chivas Guadalajara, FC Barcelona and FC Copenhagen in Group B. Barcelona will play FC Copenhagen and PSV play host to Chivas Guadalajara at 18.00. Carlos Salcido and ‘Maza’ Rodriguez, who were recently appointed as PSV Ambassadors in Mexico, came through the ranks of the youth setup of the Mexican club.
Some great fixtures to look forward on the first day of the international tournament. It offers a unique opportunity to see some future stars in action at PSV Campus de Herdgang.
