Maxime Delanghe: 'I hope we win the 2019 Otten Cup!’
PSV U21 have reached the final of the Otten Cup after a 2-0 win over Everton FC. PSV have to thank Maxime Delanghe for his heroic display in goal. We spoke to the PSV U21 keeper after the game.
“A 2-0 win over Everton to reach the final. You must have a good feeling”.
“I’m over the moon! We wanted to keep cool, calm and collected and try to keep a clean sheet. We scored an early goal after Everton had a chance to take the lead, but I was on hand to save the effort. We gained confidence and soon doubled our lead.”
“The team seems to grow together.”
“That’s right. It is important to stick together. We put in a fine display in the semi-final tie and look forward to showing our skills in the final.”
“You will face Internazionale in the final. What are your feelings ahead of the game?”
“Internazionale are physically strong but we will play our own game.”
“How do you prepare for the final?”
“We’ll have lunch, rest, spend time with the family and then gather for the team talk, like we always do. I just hope we win the final and lift the trophy!”
