PSV is organizing the Otten Innovation Cup again this year. The prestigious youth tournament is taking place for the 75th time, an anniversary. From August 15 to 17, eight international O19 teams will compete for the title.
The field of participants for the anniversary edition is set at eight top teams. In addition to PSV O19, SL Benfica, Atlético Madrid, Club Brugge, Chelsea FC, AS Monaco, Red Bull Leipzig and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors will be in attendance. Past editions have invariably been hosted by ESPN, but this year PSV is taking broadcasting of the tournament in-house.
Innovation
In 2025, the Otten Innovation Cup is once again all about innovation. As in previous editions, innovative rules of the game will be applied during the tournament. With the opening of the new De Herdgang Stadium, the stands will be open to the public for the first time this year. PSV O19 performed strongly in recent years and crowned themselves winners in both 2023 and 2024. Last year, the Atlético Madrid peers were defeated after a thrilling penalty kick sequence.
