Day 2: Hosts fail to do their thing as clash with the top favourites awaits in semi final

As always, day 2 is decision day.

Group A
The first match saw the two group favorites meet. In an equally challenged match it was Red Bull Bragantino who proved themselves strongest. With a 2-1 win they qualified for the semi finals.

On the other pitch FC Utrecht dictated the match from early on as they took a 3-0 lead. It wasn't until the 3-1 that Rangers started to bring their game to Utrecht, but without scoring more goals.

Red Bull Bragantino and Rangers FC, was a match with nothing much to play for but honor. The Brazilians ran over the Scots with ease, winning with the biggest scoreline of the tournament so far 6-1.

The other match was somewhat of a copy, but with lesser goals. RSC Anderlecht proved to be more powerful, winning 3-0 and securing second place.

Group B
FC Kobenhavn had the most possession of the ball early on in their match with PSV. By keeping the squad tight, PSV could hold on pretty easily. The hosts took the lead twice, but just as many times FC Kobenhavn equalized. Both teams were exactly level in this match and in the group standings.

Manchester United-Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC didn't take off until late in the game. When the dust finally settled, hattrick hero Ethan Wheatley had secured the Red Devils's 3-2 victory.

In the final group match PSV started poorly against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC. The Korean side had a 0-1 lead at half time. Thanks to a lucky goal, via the shin, by Sven van der Plas, the hosts equalized. Final score was 1-1.

FC Kobenhavn had little to fear from Manchester United. Quite easily the Danes managed to take a 3-1 victory and securing the group win.
